city hall mold

If IDS charged them $62K the City got ripped off by $62K. You can’t fog chemicals in a moldy building and expect the mold to go away. Where’s the “Pixie Dust”? That’s paramount to giving aspirin to a cancer patient...it just wont work. From what Key West employees stated the buildings IAQ was worse after the IDS treatment. "Mold Free", is that what was promised? If so, there is no such thing as "Mold Free". Wow! The City should check into IDS E&O insurance for erroring and omitting

Mold in Key West

I represent the company, IDS, which very effectively decontaminated the mold problem three (3) years ago, four (4) years in Jan., at a substantialy lower price than any other company could quote the city. The Key West Citizen incorrectly reported the decontamination price to be extremly over the actual price of $62,000. The employees of both the main City Hall, Fire Station, and annex City Hall departed their offices on a Friday afternoon and returned on Monday morning to a mold free enviroment.
