Neugent, Murphy lead County Commission

The Monroe County Commission this morning selected George Neugent as mayor and Sylvia Murphy as vice mayor.
Neugent replaces Sonny McCoy and Murphy replaces Mario Di Gennaro. In the Nov. 4 election, voters ousted McCoy and re-elected Murphy.
They also elected Heather Carruthers, who replaces McCoy, and Kim Wigington, who replaces ousted incumbent Dixie Spehar. Today, Carruthers and Wigington were sworn in and presiding over their first meeting.
